Applications for the 2017 Fulbright-NPM Scholar Award are now closed. Submissions will open again early in 2018.

The Fulbright-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Scholar Award is for a New Zealand academic, artist or professional to lecture and/or conduct research at a US institution in the field of indigenous development. One award valued at up to US$37,500 is granted each year, towards three to five months of lecturing and/or research.

One Year Te Reo Māori Doctoral Completion Scholarship

Te Taura Whiri I te Reo Māori and Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga partnership to build capacity and capability in Māori language research and support revitalisation.

Purpose:

To provide financial assistance and incentive to doctoral candidates who are not in receipt of any other significant income to complete their doctoral study and thesis submission.

Master Scholarship in Te Reo Māori

Purpose: To support the advancement of Māori Language Revitalisation through;

  1. building capacity and capability
  2. building on and increasing access to a knowledge base
  3. increasing the number of Māori Masters graduates throughout New Zealand.

Tenure: The period of tenure is normally twelve months.

Value: The value of the award will be up to $10,000. There are two Kia Ita Scholarships available.
