Borrin-Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Legal Research Internship Award
Calling Legal Scholars and Students - Opportunity for two Māori law research summer interns
Once again, Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga are proud to partner with the Borrin Foundation, with the support of Te Hunga Roia Māori o Aotearoa, to offer two Māori law research interns for the summer months of 2019-2020.
The successful Māori law interns will have the opportunity to work on Māori law related 10 week research projects who will be supervised by a Māori law academic and where possible a Māori lawyer.
Each internship is valued at $5,500 with an additional $1,000 for research related costs (for example to enable meeting with the Māori lawyer mentor if this person resides in a different city, or working with a community relevant to the research project).
The two successful internships will join the Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga summer internship cohort programme. The internship is administered by Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga.
Māori law academics based at a NPM partner institution are encouraged to apply now for this opportunity.
Download the project proposal template below, complete and submit to NPM below.
Details of the proposed research project including the Māori LLB student able to take up this opportunity are required components of the application form.
Applications close 5 August 2019.
