| | Welcoming Dr Charles Te Ahukaramū Royal as new Director | | The Board and Joint Directors of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Charles Te Ahukaramū Royal to the position of Director of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga.The Joint Directors and Senior ManagementTeam have already commenced preparations for the transition which will take place overthe summer. As the outgoing Joint Directors,we are confident that the organisation will continue to be robust, with a strong service ethos that is constantly working to improve its own structures and processes. Charles brings a wide range of new knowledge and skills to the Directorship that will enable him to take Ngä Pae o te Māramatanga forward in ways that we could not. We are confident Charles’s appointment will meet with widespread approval and look forward to supporting Charles as he takes up this challenging role. | |
| | NGĀ PAE O TE MĀRAMATANGA RESEARCH METHODS AND SKILLS MĀORI SCHOLARSHIPS | | Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga is pleased to announce its scholarships for research methods and skills via the New Zealand Social Statistics Network (NZSSN) summer programme 2010.
Up to 15 Māori scholarships are being offered to tertiary students and emerging researchers to attend any of the short courses offered by NZSSN in their Summer Programme 2010 (refer to www.nzssn.org.nz for course details).
