Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga celebrates Māori language week.
July 2008: Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, New Zealand: Māori language week is 21-27 July 2008. The theme for 2008 is "Maori language in the home".

Te Tatau Pounamu - The Greenstone Door: Traditional Knowledge Conference 2008 completed
July 2008: Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, New Zealand: Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga was pleased with the participation and outcomes of its third biennial international conference, Te Tatau Pounamu - The Greenstone Door: Traditional Knowledge Conference 2008.

A total of 285 delegates from a number of countries attended.


We would like to thank all speakers, presenters and delegates that contributed to the success of the Traditional Knowledge Conference 2008.


The next Traditional Knowledge Conference will be in Auckland, New Zealand, June 2010. We look forward to seeing you again!


A conference outcome report and DVD highlights are being produced; this is expected to be completed in July. In addition, the conference proceedings are being prepared. Publication of the proceedings will take time, but expected to be available October 2008. Papers are now being received by Dr Susan Healy (s.healy@auckland.ac.nz).
